‘What’s the Point?’ de George Condo llega a Los Ángeles

Monika Sprüth y Philomene Magers presentarán la exposición de nuevas pinturas ‘What’s the Point’, del artista estadounidense George Condo en Los Angeles.

Las obras abstractas hacen referencia a la historia del arte, la música, la filosofía y la cultura pop, como retratos del siglo XVII que capturaron a los mendigos y los ladrones y cuestionaron qué es real y qué es falso.

Como él mismo dice: “No hay una guía para lo desconocido. Es un camino recortado en la naturaleza con un machete en busca de un claro y con la esperanza de llegar a un destino ”.

La exhibición puede verse en Sprüth Magers, Los Angeles, del 9 de abril al 1 de junio de 2019.

One of the most significant artists of the last several decades, Condo creates works that dramatically bridge an array of painterly approaches, moods, and influences from diverse fields such as art history, music, philosophy, and popular culture.
